Radiation shielded inspection cameras, CCTV and lighting have traditionally been the main areas of the Ahlberg product range. Complete systems, like the 4-face fuel inspection system, and software, like the fuel assembly bow measurement software, have the last years gained more and more interest.
Over 160 nuclear plant units in 20 countries use equipment from Ahlberg Cameras. Nuclear power plants and waste storage plants make up the biggest customer group, but also nuclear fuel manufacturers and NDT-companies use Ahlberg Cameras for their services.
Systems like “4-face fuel inspection system” and “Mast camera system” are made up of standard Ahlberg Cameras radiation shielded equipment that is tailor made built together to fit in our customers´ premises. Design and installation is done in collaboration between Ahlberg Cameras engineers and nuclear plant staff.
Software applications are used to get more out of camera operations. It could be image improvements to discover cracks, or measurement programs to calculate harmful nuclear fuel assembly bending.

Robotic Crawler based camera systems are used for visual inspection of difficult to access areas. In this technique, an automated robotic crawler system is sent inside the inspection area to record the images & videos. Live visuals are displayed on the control unit/monitor. These camera systems can be used for under water & intrinsicly safe environment.
These producs are categorised into :
Based on application, Robotic Camera System has following models :

NDTT is offering a wide range of Videoscope, Fiberscope, Borescope, Ultra Violet Video & Borescope, Pan and Tilt cameras and special cameras for Remote Visual Inspection (RVI).
ENDOSCOPIC FLUORESCENT PENETRANT INSPECTION SYSTEM
Developed in partnership with the french aero-engine manufacturer, SNECMA (SAFRAN GROUP), this globally patented system provides the capability to endoscopically inspect on-wing engines using the FPI process.
The system allows to resolve doubts arising during routine endoscopic inspections posed by suspicious indications. It is also commonly used to guarantee the absence of residual cracks after blade-blending.
In the first operation phase, carried out under white light endoscopy, the various chemicals required for FPI are projected on the area of interest.
This phase is followed by endoscopic inspection under UV light of the FPI-processed area.
The endoscopic FPI system developed by EFER ENDOSCOPY typically comprises the following items:

Crack Depth Gauge – RMG 4015
Our new crack depth gauge RMG 4015 measures crack depths on workpieces of iron, ferrous and austenitic steels and can also be used for cracks in copper, brass, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals. For the measurement of oblique cracks a special oblique cracks probe is available.
Measurement according to the potential probe principle: A probe with four spring-loaded and gilded contact pins is positioned across the crack to be measured on the workpiece. A constant alternating current is passed via two of the pins into the workpiece; the two other pins measure the voltage drop across the crack, where the crack depth is derived from. The a.c. of the instrument utilizes the skin effect, which forces the current flow to the surface of the conductor and therefore follows the contour of the crack. The operation and measured value formation are monitored by the microprocessor of the gauge. Incorrect handling or faulty measurements caused by wrong attachment or imperfect contacts therefore are out of question.
In addition to common cracks running in most cases perpendicularly to the surface, the real life often shows oblique cracks, where usually it is not the expansion of the cracks which is of interest, but the oblique orientation and the projection with reference to the surface. If you know these measures it can be decided whether the post-treatment of a workpiece with cracks is technically possibly and economically reasonable. Therefore the instrument was equipped with an additional measuring function for the determination of oblique cracks, which permits to determine the inclination of the crack with respect to the material surface.
